I became a mother at a young age.

I’ve carried the weight of childhood trauma, endured the unraveling of a marriage, and faced moments where my voice felt invisible.

In the midst of it all, poetry became my therapist — the one place I could lay down my pain without judgment.

The page listened.

It held my truths and kept them there for me to return to for reflection…

Writing gave me space to heal.

Each poem was a release, a reclaiming of power, a quiet act of resistance.

It reminded me I was still there.

Still whole.

That’s why I created MicroPoetry Features — because I know what it feels like to need a voice, and to need that voice to be heard.

MPF was born from my own need for connection, expression, and healing.
